Ranking loss always almost at the same time of the year
Hi, we have an online store, which is specialized in products for Christmas. We started in 2018 and in 2020 we were able to get to the first position in the Google ranking for the most searched keyword in our niche, which has the most searches from October to December.
Since 2021 it happens, that we are always on the first position until October. Then we always get to position 2-3. In January, we were back at position 1. This happened then also in 2022 and now also this year.
The only difference this year is, that we have been on first place till the beginning of November. Then happened a massive ranking loss to position 6-7.
What could be a reason for that?
Google's algorithmic updates during these periods are the reason of ranking fluctuations. Check your competitor's pages closely and figure out what has started working and out rank them.
