Google doesn't recognizes my keywords

by @ColinM (118), 10 months ago

Hello everyone,

I'm a beginner SEO and I have a quick question :

No matter what I do, google doesn't seem to recognize my keywords. Imagine I'm optimizing my website for "professional events" and "mainstream events", some competitors with lower AS and fewer backlinks will show up whereas my website doesn't even appear in later pages.

It's been weeks, and I'm obviously doing something wrong but I can't find what. Could someone help me identify the issue please ? The website I'm running uses Yoast SEO and Colibri Page Builder for Wordpress.

Thank you for reading

Check Google Search Console for any errors. If there is any then fix those. Assuming the web pages of your website are indexed and getting crawled frequently.

  1. Update the web pages with some content, image, text, or...
  2. Make an internal link with the keyphrase from another page to the targeted page.
  3. Win 2-3 quality backlinks from other websites for your keywords.

As an expert at www.websitedesignsauckland.com, here are a few suggestions to help identify and address the issue you're facing with your website not ranking well for your targeted keywords:

Conduct Keyword Research: Ensure that the keywords you are targeting, such as "professional events" and "mainstream events," are relevant and have sufficient search volume. Use keyword research tools to explore related keywords and phrases that users are actively searching for.

On-Page Optimization: Review your website's on-page elements, including title tags, meta descriptions, headers, and content. Make sure your targeted keywords are strategically placed within these elements to signal their relevance to search engines.

Content Quality and Relevance: Ensure that your website has high-quality, relevant, and unique content related to the targeted keywords. Develop informative and engaging content that satisfies user intent and provides value.

Technical SEO Audit: Utilize tools like Google Search Console to identify any crawl errors, indexing issues, or other technical SEO problems. Fix any errors or warnings to ensure proper visibility and indexing of your web pages.

Internal Linking: Establish internal links within your website, connecting relevant pages using your targeted keywords as anchor text. This helps search engines understand the relationships between your web pages and can improve their visibility in search results.

Backlink Profile: Focus on building high-quality backlinks from authoritative and relevant websites. Seek opportunities for guest blogging, partnerships, or collaborations to acquire valuable backlinks. Backlinks from reputable sources can help improve your website's authority and visibility.

Monitor and Adjust: Continuously monitor your website's performance using analytics tools to track rankings, organic traffic, and user engagement. Based on the data, make adjustments to your SEO strategy as needed.

Remember, SEO takes time and persistence. It's essential to regularly evaluate and refine your approach based on insights and best practices in the industry. Consider seeking professional assistance if you need further guidance in optimizing your website for better search engine visibility.
